Special-Needs, Senior & Shy Pet Care in Newnan, GA
Some pets cannot go to just anyone. They take medication on a strict schedule, they flinch at a raised hand, or they disappear the moment a stranger walks in.
This is the work Valeria is known for.
Pets we work with often
- Senior pets who need more frequent breaks, a slower pace and someone who notices small changes
- Rescued pets and pets with a history of trauma: no forcing, no rushing, at their pace
- Fearful and reactive dogs, including dogs with a bite history
- Very shy cats who hide from every visitor
- Pets on medication: oral and topical medications and supplements, given exactly as you write them down

How we approach a fearful pet
- We learn the triggers at the meet & greet: sounds, movements, other animals, doors
- First visits are quiet. The job gets done and nobody is pushed into contact
- Trust is built over repeat visits with the same person
- If something is not working, we tell you and adjust
Medication
Oral and topical medications and supplements are given following your written instructions, and noted in the visit report. Injections, insulin for example, are handled case by case. Bring them up at the meet & greet and we will tell you honestly if we can do it.
If something goes wrong
We follow a set emergency protocol, not improvisation. You tell us your veterinarian at the meet & greet. In an emergency we contact your vet right away, follow their guidance and keep you informed every step. Vet costs are paid by the owner.

Questions
My dog has a bite history. Will you still take him?
Yes. Tell us everything at the meet & greet: what happened, the triggers, what helps. We would rather know and plan for it than find out at the door.
Will my shy cat ever come out?
Many do, after a few visits. If yours does not, the food, water, litter box and medication still get done every time.
